Now imagine Obama or a prominent Democrat had endorsed Anthony Weiner for mayor. Do you think the "lib'rul media" would have given them a similar pass and not mentioned the scandal in the candidate's past?:

Jeb Bush is backing David Vitter in Louisiana's governor race this year and will appear at a New Orleans fundraiser for the Louisiana Senator April 15.

"I am confident Senator Vitter's conservative credentials and reform-minded principles will make him a successful governor. He will ensure states' rights are protected, enact pro-growth policies and be a tremendous advocate for the people of Louisiana," said Bush in a written statement released through his staff.

Bush served as governor of Florida from 1999 to 2007, and has been preparing to run for president in 2016 over the last three months. Though he hasn't formally announced a national campaign yet, Bush traveled to Colorado on Wednesday, where he met with several key Republican constituent groups and raised money for a potential presidential bid. He is in Chicago Thursday, also to raise money.

Bush is considered a significant contender for the 2016 Republican nomination, largely because of his fundraising prowess. His brother, George W. Bush, and father, George Bush, have already served as president.

Vitter has picked up endorsements from a couple of other Republican presidential contenders. Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul endorsed the Senator back in February. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has also backed Vitter.

Remember when the Bushes claimed they were all about that "restoring honor and integrity" thing? That was hilarious.
