Warren is handling Obama masterfully on this deal. She has the Democratic President running defense as he sides with the conservatives.
We will need her leadership for the next 4-8 years. She is likely more effective in pushing a Democratic President than a repug president, who would just ignore and denigrate her. She'll be a great liberal counter to President.
This is a preview of how Warren could influence the presidential debate without even running.

I believe Elizabeth will be in Hillary's cabinet.

(18,115 posts)her recently, it seemed clear they have an understanding and an agreement.
I think that Warren will still influence the debate and push Hillary though. Not sure whether I would prefer her to stay in the senate or pivot to a cabinet position.

(7,321 posts)Hillary might "love" Warren's public statement of "support",,, but that's as far as "love" for Warren would go.
Even when and if the time comes where she has Warren in tow, campaigning for/with her... with pretty smiles and huggie huggies.. you can take it to the bank all of that ends when the election is over.

They both pretty much fight for the same goals. Two wonderful, strong, liberal women.

(30,058 posts)Hillary is president a veto can happen. It should be more about the president and Congress working together to make improvements. Also since Hillary has been pushing for higher wages, curtailing Wall Street abuses for several years then perhaps bills can get sponsored in Congess and grt passed db and we know Hillary will sign into law. It would be a win-win situation.

(82,383 posts)It's not about the disagreement, it's about how Warren should be in the future - as if they are looking to her to stop her fellow party members.

In the absence of actual unrecs, this OP gets a symbolic unrec.

As always, it's easier for the general public to be against something than to stand for something.
Obama has the biggest bullseye on his back right now until Mme Clinton gets a haircut or wears a pink dress with shoes that don't match.

Pretending otherwise is being deliberately ignorant, or disingenuous.

(9,148 posts)Clinton & Warren have both stated respect for each other.
Warren won't do anything TO Clinton, rather with each other in strong positions of power, they are more likely to continue on their mutual fight in keeping the RW from ever regaining the power they have today,
Some here wish badly to pit one against the other, as is the GOP's wish.
They are more together than opposite on policies & issues. That is the actual reality.
There are a few very great & powerful women & men in the Dem Legislature that will become the force that drives a constant wedge in the forward movement of a RW fascist leaning government for our America.
With strong polling like this one, as the election nears we can hopefully see a few Dem coattails riding along a 2016 Pres win.
