People you know voting republican

What's so sad is that these are people in our community, co workers, long time friends and even the worst of all, family. The right wing industrial complex have poisoned the minds of good people who don't realize they are suckers being used to carry out the insidious nefarious agenda of rich the and powerful. The same people who would smash and destroy them like bugs after they've served their purpose by supporting them in elections.

You can talk to them until you are blue in your face, until that moment occurs when they are affected by the policies they support and voted for, then the realization what they believe hits them.

Unfortunately, it would take too long for that realization to occur in the far hard right of 38% in this country. The NRA types, bible thumpers and selfish libertarians.

We can't wait too much longer.

Republican even know most of what the Republicans do. If they knew maybe they would change....maybe. We are a rare group that knows a lot about what goes on. Super majority are clueless.

If the Republicans was really trying to get abortion banned they would lose a big portion of their voting base. These are one issue voters and though the GOP slaps them three times before breakfast they vote against their best interest.

I don't see that changing which is why I don't tout the death of the Republican Party any time soon.

Will be dying out because of age. There are still lots of old Dixiecrats in the GOP also.

The liberals are the workers of the party and they are in their 60-70s are pretty up there. Both parties will evolve. And the Latinos will be a big part of the transition which can be good. What both parties end up looking like. I don't know.

A big bunch of them work at a tech firm that sells computer systems to gov't agencies. All are small govt, gun toting conservatives. Not many that are religious, but the two that are are Catholic and very anti choice, one of them even impregnating a girl and having that baby aborted.. But still anti abortion.
Another is a Ron Paul libertarian, but I think that is cover for him not wanting to associated with Republican candidates.

No it doesn't. They'll blame it on "liberals" and continue to vote Republican.
