Same size package; Less ingredients

They must really think we are stupid?

Same size package of cornbread and same price, but 10% less ingredients.

#303 cans used to have 16 ounces of beans. Now down to 14 ounces.

Any one else notice how they are screwing us over by putting less food in packages and fooling us by keeping the prices the same?

You didn't notice this 20 years ago? A "pound" of coffee has been 14 ounces at least that long. nt Hekate Apr 2015 #1

They will just do whatever they want to do because they know it won't do any good if we complain.

You open them up and they are only about 1/3 full. They're so expensive that I'm sure the idea is that people wouldn't buy them if the manufacturer put them in the smaller size of bottles that they really need. Not only is this deceptive, it's wasteful.

Fukushima IS far more important and less likely to ever be resolved.

Thanks for the affirmation that Fuku is on your mind, because of my reports.

Used to fill me up, but these days I'm still hungry.

I can just imagine how bad poorer people have it; being screwed by the food companies so much. So, yeah, it concerns me.

You too have been made aware and every time you see my name you think of the radiated sea stars!! Thank you for letting me know sea stars and radiation rent space in your mind. Yep, it's all my fault.

The manufacturers are just trying to help you by keeping you from overeating, they know you are going to finish that pack of Almost out of the Store Home cookies in one sitting so by cutting down on the amount of high fructose corn syrup you are consuming they are keeping you from going into a diabetic coma.

If they didn't you'd have to pay more. Maybe I'm just ambivalent on the issue. I understand the economics of the decision not to raise the price.

They advertise all the time with a : 20% more - free!

So to be accurate, these days, they should be claiming : 20% less, same price!
See how well that goes, eh?

If they told me it was 16oz on the label and only supplied 14oz, that would be a problem.
