Film on racial dynamics over decades

"the film shows how unrecognized, unconscious attitudes continue to dominate racial dynamics in American life."

A fascinating video how a foreign researcher ( Gunnar Myrdal - later Nobel winner) was sent by a university to study racial dynamics in the late 1930's. Entire film is worth a view but skip to the 19:40 point to try to get the jest of it. Mississippi lawmaker Bilbo (not kidding) and his plan to send blacks back to Africa. The researcher proposes another solution, but the lawmaker states that would be "too un-American". Video points out how America is holding two views and it is still the conscious and unconscious conflict that is confusing and dividing Americans.
