Has anybody else been there? It looks almost like a slick "official" fan site. All the extremely well written news, great photos and illustrations, and positive opinion about Hillary and her campaign. No forums, just fan comments. It doesn't look at all like a place for refugee Hillary supporters. It looks more like a well financed campaign site. ????????

The primaries are meant to work out all the bad feelings. Stuff like that is how the 'PUMA party' came about in 08. But i digress.

Shitflinging Festival...I think a lot of people who just want to talk politely about their favorite are being abused, so safe spaces are welcomed.

Working out bad feelings is one thing...abuse and invective are something else. And there are trolls here too, gaming supporters of all the Democratic candidates, who are doing it to improve the chances of the GOP nominee.

It doesn't bother me because DU polls don't matter much in the scheme of things.

Or is it selective?

"appearance fee" and being a paid, trained, SALARIED monkey in the Faux zoo. In the former circumstance, Faux is being used to get out an opposing view. In the latter, Faux is using the salaried person as a home grown fool and a punching bag...someone they mock and deride.

You can't live on 'appearance fees.' You CAN live on a Fauxsnooze salary--and very well too--if you are willing to disgrace your reputation as bought-and-paid-for-by-Rupert-Murdoch.

There's a difference between going into the lion's den and being a caged, paid, well fed and subservient animal in the Faux zoo.

DU has a history of supporting outliers who are less popular IRL, and we have a boatload of new posters who are, errrr, confrontational on a good day.

Not all of these newcomers are sincere. They don't want any of the candidates running for the Dem nom to win...thy are throwing chum in the water and hoping that the sharks here kill each other.

Many HRC supporters are just too old and mature for that kind of childish bullshit. I think most of the adults here have better stuff to do which is why so many old names have disappeared...they aren't dead, they've just found better, smarter places to chit chat.

I think you might not want to read too much into those figures, save perhaps that some people prefer to donate through an aggregator/bundler, and some do not. I am decidedly in the latter category.

I mean, I admire the work Thomas Jefferson did, but strip away the founding of our democracy and you have just another rich, white slave owner.

The people who got rid of slavery didn't do it by compromising with the apathy of evil. They did it by refusing to personally support or profit from it.

I'm glad we got rid of it here, when we did, thanks to the efforts of those burdened with a moral compass.
Today it would be TBTF.

I've always been one of those who prefers to associate with and assist people I respect.
I don't have a lot of respect for Shell, Apple, Facebook, Lockheed, Walmart or Monsanto.
I prefer not to devote my life to supporting the friends of ALEC, climate change deniers or the John Birch Society.

actually a "deliberate liar" and a "slimy Third Way manipulator" -- all because I went to the store first to get some dill relish for my potato salad on Memorial Day before posting his link to Fox News to prove to my accuser that he didn't even know what was in his spam messages he posts everywhere.

So a trip to the store for dill relish, and I'm a "corporatist", lol, your stocks must put you in some real make-believe badlands.
