that if Hillary does win the nomination, everyone here would vote for her in the end. In 2008, I can't tell you how many Hillary supporters refused to vote for Obama after he eventually won the nomination. Back then, I used to frequent a MySpace group that was devoted to Hillary, and there were so many people there that absolutely hated Obama for whatever reason. I spoke with many of them after the election, and they claimed they stuck to their guns and abstained from voting or wrote in Hillary's name. I will vote for Bernie in the primary, and I strongly feel he is the better candidate. But if Hillary wins, we have to be pragmatic about this. She will be much better than anyone the GOP/Tea Party puts forward. That just seems like a no-brainer.

Don't take the bait.
Let's keep it that way.

(91 posts)but I have seen many Bernie supporters say they wouldn't vote for Hillary. That is why I wrote what I did. No bait here.

(72,790 posts)But I will likely vote for any other DEM that wins the nomination.
Fortunately, I live in CT, and it's likely the DEM will win in my state, with or without my vote. So, it's a win-win.
I will be voting on Election Day 2016 regardless. I always vote.

(99,719 posts)That's in line with how backers of the losing candidate in their party have been voting for the winning candidate since they have been keeping those records.
