Since Americans seem to be glued to their tee vees, this is a no brainer. Some network or cable channel could do this easily, and since it would be unscripted, they'd save on hiring writers.
Imagine -- one hour every week devoted to both sides getting together to discuss real issues that concern Americans. All announced candidates participating, teleprompters not allowed, questions from the audience for part of the show. No interrupting each other, same amount of time allotted to all participants, just like in the final debates.
I sense ratings bigger than sports shows, and, more importantly, an informed public.
I know GOPigs would be against it, and maybe some candidates on the Democratic side as well, but it would be much more entertaining than C-SPAN and would even draw in those who consider politics like a game of football.

(5,105 posts)Repigs would run from it, but Bernie and Hillary should push it, and I'm sure at least one cable network would run with it.
Hillary and Bernie would both get a chance to get their positions out there. Most Americans are woefully uneducated about our political system, and many probably vote based on TV commercials and the last political sign they saw. This could help in education and seeing the realities of both parties. Oh, the pigs would hate it, but wouldn't it be nice!
