As an older baby boomer.. it is time for the X'ers, Millennials and younger

boomers to make their impact... each generation has a time and space.. each generation a job to attend to and LEAD on....

I am not saying anyone gets to step back and not participate.. but my parents were WW2's and they had to rebuild the country post depression and postwar..they did some work on on the upcoming issues that my generation would lead on..lots left to do..

My generation lead on stopping Vietnam, civil rights, women's rights etc etc..we did some work on the environment ..Lots left to do..

But I see this awesome power in the generations and younger boomers who will be leading on environmental issues..they will leave a lot left to do..no one generation can do it all .. but they will leave the blueprint for their children

Gives me great hope..

So many of them were sucked in by the "greed is good" trend that began with Ronald Reagan. I think some of them are coming around, after realizing how Reagan multiplied the national debt and ruined government.

College and work a part time job. I tell them tax rates were higher on the rich. They are our future and they must vote out republicans because they only care about the rich.

And after having lived through so many of the greed years they are not greedy. At least from what I am experiencing.

i pester every single one of them about whether they're registered to vote and give countless reminders to vote come election time. these are young people who want to be nurses and teachers and i continually remind them that it matters who is in office and they need to make their voices heard.

i hear a lot of excuses from them and i counter every single one. i tell them i can't tell them how to vote, but i encourage them to identify what issues are important to them and then educate themselves on where the candidates stand on those issues.

Those of us who were involved during Nam and been doing something since then. I know I am tired and also tired of mainly working with people my age, some of whom still come out with their walkers.

There are some amazing young people, look at the Occupy movement. I am sure they will get mobilized. I hope so because a lot of the boomers are too old now and the rest of us are rapidly following.

I would love to assist, not lead. Not again. Assisting sounds doable for now.

Some of most prominent rising star, elected Xers (Paul Ryan, Scott Walker, Rand Paul (more of a tween but close enough) are doing nothing but damage. I am pretty sure that they are getting much of their support from their generational peers. I know for a fact that losing former gen X classmates to the dark side is very common among friends who are my age.

I know of lots of younger folks who are committed to seeing a more fair culture and protecting our people and the earth. They give me hope.

was minuscule. So, I'll just keep right on being an election activist. I'll stop doing that when I stop breathing.

If the younger demographic groups want to "make their impact," then they can show up for elections, since that's when decisions are made in this country. I welcome them to do so. I encourage them to do so. They stayed home last November.

I, for one, am tired of the fight. I just want to kick back now, grow my garden, do some baking, take pictures, and let someone else change the world.

No oldsters getting down on younger generations, and vice versa. We all have something to contribute. Nice.
