I'm getting a little confused on the process, and I'm also seriously ill right now, so I need some guidance.

This vote was a huge repudiation of the President's trade agenda. He was only able to line up 12 votes.

This TPA will rain down millions of jobs on Americans, or so I am told by the supporters. So obviously it doesn't need a jobs retraining program.

Not sure if it can still be filibustered there. Can it?

Dems supported it (if it's good) and backed the President...

but Dems tried not to (if it turns out to be a disaster).

Wishywashy, dudes. And I don't think anyone buys that kind of theater anymore.

So there's more work to do before next week's revote on TAA but I honestly think this is great news for Obama, for all Americans, and for Dems in 2016. Would have been a huge problem otherwise.

Only 12 yea dem votes on the TPA. He may well get it, but time is not his friend here. And politically, if it does pass, it's without doubt more of a problem.
