publicly impugning their bravery and will to fight. I guess the White House and the Pentagon have been successful in their blame shifting, even though we basically let Ramadi go. We had drones watching ISIS take out barriers in Ramadi with a bulldozer for over an hour, and we did nothing, and then the truck bombers rolled through--according to the Wall Street Journal. I don't know what's going on, but we are being played.

What incentive do the Iraqi troops have to fight and possibly die against ISIS? Their country is a patchwork of competing sects. Their government is a joke. Their leadership is pathetic and corrupt.

This is just like the ARVN in Vietnam. Troops aren't going to fight and die for something they don't really have allegiance to. Who can blame them? We should have learned that lesson, but as usual US politicians don't learn lessons no matter how costly the experience.

....or a puppet US imposed government.
I wouldn't if the roles were reversed.
I would do exactly what they are doing, Playing One side AGAINST the other,
and fighting a 100 year War of Attrition.
Sooner or Later, the USA WILL go home, then WE will decide who wins.

Are you willing to keep the WAR going for 100 years?
The Iraqis are, and have.

They will take our money with smiles,
take our weapons with smiles,
and then fade away to join their friends on the "other side" as soon as it is convenient.

Haven't we LEARNED this yet?
