The simple reason that Teapublican Economics ALWAYS Fails:

They try to get the most revenue from Americans who have the least money.

And they continue to take less revenue from Americans who have the most money.

It’s like robbers hitting a soup kitchen instead of a bank, then wondering why their moneybag isn’t full.

“Republicans” are all eedjits.

What's an older white conservative to do? They go after the little bit of money at the soup kitchen which is neither well protected nor popular among "US" (older white conservatives) rather than the beaucoup bucks as the bank. Of course, that does not really help them solve their problems (acting on fear and hate rarely does) but it seems to be emotionally satisfying to them.

They want to cause a shortfall of revenue so they can then say that we must "cut, cut, cut" those wasteful things like Social Security, Medicare, etc. it is a continuation of their seventy five year crusade against the New Deal.

The followers think that this means only the lazy blacks will be deprived of these socialistic programs. They don't realize that they will lose out too so they cheer the process on.

Because when all of us turnips have been exsanguinated, they'll have no revenue stream.

However, we the peons will have to somehow continue to pay for the world's most bloated military machine.

It's the same as when they are out of the White House they scream and yell about the deficit. Back in power, they double and triple the deficit. It's the constant movement and readjustment of the goalposts that they love.

However, when money is needed they will come back to the well that is the middle class.

I don't know if they actually manage, like an out of control parasite, to actually kill the host, but as you have noted, they have almost sucked us dry.

These people, and I use the term loosely, are convinced that they are somehow "better" than everyone else. They do not want "their" country back...they want royalty back, and not just as figureheads either.

I never have understood to obsession with the English royal family, but the out pouring of grief when Diana died all those years ago and the subsequent fascination with Middleton and her kids has made the 0.01% very jealous. They are very much the Fredo of the worldwide Correlone family and they want RESPECT! It ain't how they wanted it!!!

Aside from taking their money and using it for the good of the nation via progressive taxation at 1950's levels, the worst thing in their world is insufficient fealty from the "little" people.

I know three different conservatives who like Oliver Cromwell, including the former Conservative mayor of Dayton, Ohio. Cromwell's elitism and ruthlessness appeals to the authoritarianism in some.

... HUGE BUDGET DEFICITS are essential to their long term goal of shrinking government to a size that can be drowned in a bathtub.

They know they can't eliminate popular programs like Social Security and Medicare via direct legislative assault, so their strategy is to make them "unaffordable" and get voters to accespt "hard choices."

They claim to want smaller government, but in reality they run up the bills at a faster rate than Dems.

Certainly not what they refer to as "entitlement" programs.

They spend on the military and run up deficits with tax breaks & loopholes for millionaires & profitable corporations.

Bottom line is whose interests are being served and the long term goal of destroying FDR's New Deal & LBJ's Great Society.

And those latter two goals can only be achieved by "running up the bills" (aka Huge. Budget. Deficits.).

Republican politicians pretend to be deficit hawks, but they are not. When their policies actually result in skyrocketing deficits the easy thing to do is call them stupid, but sometimes you have to consider that their policies are actually achieving the desired results.
