If you don't fight for what you want you won't get it.

It's that simple.

America seems to have a corporate propaganda inflicted inferiority complex that makes us think we don't deserve good things. If you don't work 80 hours a week and sacrifice everything you're working for you don't deserve to live comfortably. How insane is that?

America always finds money to spend on the military & war. The Pentagon slush fund in the budget for the upcoming year is at $90 billion dollars. $90 billion dollars! That's just the Pentagon slush fund.

The entire budget is close to $600 billion and doesn't include payments to veterans, homeland security and other military spending that is hidden in other budgets like the DOE. All defense spending , security spending, and interest due to the debt is estimated to be close to a TRILLION dollars a year!

Meanwhile many European countries spend an adequate amount on defense and still manage to provide things like universal health care and other programs that benefit their citizenry so people can live without being in constant fear of financial collapse.

I would urge those that are serving up the meme that Bernie Sanders is promoting unrealistic goals and expectations to quit limiting their thinking and fight for what you want and deserve! These programs are not "ponies" and Senator Sanders provides realistic options for making sure the programs are funded.

No matter who you support for the presidency please do not limit your thinking to incremental change which basically keeps America stuck where it is at. America needs new vision, new ideas, & a new direction.

If countries like Germany and Denmark can make the lives of their citizens better through universal health care, free college education, and expanded employment benefits why can't America do the same or even better?

We may fight for many good things for the American people and only achieve a few of these things. And we may also end up with a lesser version of what we wanted but isn't that better than the status quo?

When we can find money to fund endless war but can't imagine funding good and decent social programs for the American people have we not failed as a nation?

So it's up to us. Do we have what it takes to make America great again? Or have we decided we don't deserve nice things unless we work our lives away?

It's your choice.

My 2 cents...

And no amount of discussion based on factual information about a candidates voting record, statements, Wall Street affiliations, etc will probably alter that result.

We can hope that if they still choose another candidate that they strive for better things and not despair the efforts of Sanders to work for the BEST possible outcome for the American people. I've seen multiple instances where Bernie's ideas have been portrayed as wishing for ponies, unrealistic, etc etc and this is unfortunate.

Bernie's ideas are pragmatic and if there is enough cooperation in congress and with the American people they can be funded and implemented. Obviously he may not get everything he aspires to achieve but he is always all in for what he believes in and that is very inspiring!

"If we settle for nothing now, we'll settle for nothing later."

I apologize to anyone I may inadvertently offend but I cannot stand for BS anymore.

Ending suffering isn't a fucking pony. Working to house the mentally ill isn't a fucking pony. Ending wars for profit and "human experimentation" isn't a fucking pony. Addressing climate change realistically and honestly isn't a fucking pony!

On top of all that, I like ponies.

Why does someone need to go and associate a helpless pony with denigrating our desire for addressing problems we see as key to a more unified and peaceful existence, socially & economically?
