Bernie Sanders: "Do I look like Hillary Clinton?"

"It's not quite clear to me what Secretary Clinton is suggesting," Sanders (I-Vt.) told reporters here. "I am doing everything that I can to defeat fast track. . . . I am not clear, nor do I believe the American people are clear, as to what Secretary Clinton's position is. Is she for it or is she against it? Those are your two options. The president is for it. Most Democrats in the Congress are against it."

Sanders said Clinton's indecisiveness on fast-track legislation "is not leadership."

Asked by a reporter what Clinton is trying to do politically with her statements, Sanders replied, "Do I look like Hillary Clinton?"

Sanders's comments about Clinton represent perhaps his sharpest attacks in the intensifying Democratic primary race.

Hillary is trying to "create her own reality" and people are having none of it.

Of course, she's doing it extraordinarily poorly, since she doesn't start where people are, and lead them to a Promised Land. Instead, she keeps trying to pretend the last 70+ years never happened.

....and reality has deteriorated so badly in the last 8 years, that even Bill or St. Ronnie of Reagan would have a hard time pulling wool over people's eyes now.

I'm not convinced he would be on Bernies short list of VP selections because his propensity for exuberance and outspokeness could become a liability to Bernies gains he's making in reaching GOP voters. Perhaps the ticket could include a woman...someone like Jan Schakowsky of IL; or a leader in LGBT affairs like Gavin Newsome? I don't know...I could be way off base here but at any rate I know one thing, and that's that I certainly will trust whatever choice he makes.

The disastrous Supreme Court decision has made the battle lines very clearly drawn. It has also made the stakes incredibly high for figuring out who is REALLY on the people's side - and who isn't. In the good ole days before Citizens United, the American voter could indulge themselves in getting lost in a candidate's flowery campaign rhetoric, but now, we need to focus on tell-tale signs like a candidate's conspicuous silence on critical issues like the TPP - and forget about the campaign rhetoric, with all its lofty and inflated promises. We've had too many posers and pseudo populists, and our great nation can't survive too many more of them, who only do the bidding of the vulture capitalists.

On the other hand she can side step the issue and claim she is against it but not really against it because she has to "read the final version". She says just enough to make Democrats think she is against it but not enough to piss off her money tree.

I have watched and listened to every Presidential candidate since 1952 and I can tell you that Hillary sounds just like a Republican on

I do think she'll give the President and his negotiators with Congress time enough to win the day. What HRC sees as "time enough", is a good question. HRC has obligations both to the President, and the base.
Eventually people are going to think they are owed some fairly lengthy explanations. If fortune smiles on the HRC campaign, this matter will be decided before the wait for the explanation passes from awkward into corrosively damaging.
