Action Among Health Insurers & A Push Toward Consolidation In That Industry-Some Questions....

I posted something along these lines last night and didn't get much reaction - too much distractions out there with the Stanley Cup Playoffs and all.

But what is making me nervous is this potential for consolidation in the health insurance industry and what it meets and what will be the fallout?

First Humana is out looking for a buyer. Now United Healthcare is looking at Aetna. And I just heard Anthem is looking at Cigna.

What's going on and what might this mean for ACA?

Will these companies become too big to fail? Will premiums go up? Are we getting closer to single payer?

Any thoughts?

to be more monopolization in action. However, I think that all of your questions are very important and I hope someone with some knowledge of the industry shows up with some answers or at least some reasonable speculation.
