You members keep adding more members to the committee, big names, recognizable people to try and add a positive spin to this boondoggle. Take a rest. We don't want the games, no matter how many important personages you add to the committee membership. It is getting to sound like desperation on your part.
Go home guys, give the residents of Massachusetts a break. We all know how this will end up.
Big business names, big sports personalities, big baloney.
The committee has now added more personages to the ranks. As of today, new additions have brought the total to 49 members. This is ridiculous.
To all the members, if you really care, walk the streets, ask the citizens of Mass how they feel. Don't do it in the financial district, go to the towns and cities and talk to 'everyman'. You will find that we are sick and tired of all this big business baloney.
Find another city. Find another place willing to absorb the debt and headache that will be the result of this endeavor. Enough of the pressure and the big name push. We are not stupid. Our wallets cannot afford this. Our state cannot absorb what the citizens know will be a financial disaster.
Enough already!!!

Y2K, sure! Let us forget that and talk about the dollars involved and the incredible disruption to all who live here.

(56,177 posts)I don't blame you...when I lived in Seattle there was talk of trying to get in on the 22078 bidding, I think...there was an uproar...no one wanted it...too much of a headache.
