Your post is disgusting but not surprising. Gotta protect them guns from 'attack', eh.

(13,878 posts)Haley is a smart and politically astute version of Sarah Palin. She is just as corrupt and in the pocket of the Kochs and their crowd, but she can really handle herself on camera and is always well-prepared when she speaks. That makes her very dangerous. If the GOP ever nominated a moderate (for them) northerner for President she might be a good balance to appease the Tea Party.
She was running 4th in the GOP primary for Governor until guess who - Sarah the moron - came to town and endorsed her. Even the Republicans in the legislature despise her, which further endears her to the Tea Party.

Don't cry to me about how awful it is - when you refuse to take that damn flag down off the state capitol building.
Take that damn flag DOWN and KEEP IT DOWN. Then maybe you can go grab your hankie. This is what can happen when one is allowed to carry a fucking GUN into CHURCH!!!! Was this supposedly one of those "good guys with guns"?

(32,723 posts)It's in front on a Confederate soldier memorial that shouldn't be on the Capital Grounds either.
Check this memorial out in the North Georgia Mountains:
Stone Mountain. Called by some "The Confederate Mount Rushmore" depicts Stonewall Jackson, Robert E. Lee, and Jefferson Davis.
The Confederacy shouldn't be "celebrated" or "honored".

(21,285 posts)Hell no. In two days this will forgotten and some other A-hole will do this again. maybe not in a Church but a mall, supermarket, park, sporting event etc. These open carry laws need to be repealed. And yes, as several previous posters pointed out she has blood on her hands for signing these gun laws.
Oh I forget right winger have no conscience. Nikki will go to the funerals, and Fox will say she is a great leader and then she will go back to being the corporate right wing minion.

(55,745 posts)Compare with: "I'm always struck curious when the CTers insist the government be given a monopoly on force"
Writing that I insist the government be given a monopoly on violence sounds like you want to denigrate me for mentioning realistic gun laws used to keep the peace in the Wild West days.
http://www.kansashistory.us/fordco/dodgecity.html
What's interesting in your comments Nuclear Unicorn is that if you were struck curious by anything you would know more, such as the difference between a warranted conspiracy theory and an unwarranted conspiracy theory or a put down and a tell.

(19,497 posts)You, on the other hand, trust the government -- until you don't.
Let's disarm and then rely on the electronically elected, centralized media controlling, minority killing government to keep us all safe. They'd never lie to us about using force.
Right?

(34,186 posts)The following rules govern when you may not carry a gun in South Carolina.
Unless you are in your house, place of business, or on your own property, you may not carry a firearm without a concealed carry permit. (S.C. Code Ann.§ 16-23-20.)
You may not carry a firearm (openly or concealed) on another persons property if that person has prohibited it. (S.C. Code Ann.§ 23-31-220.)
You may not carry a firearm in a jail, prison, or detention facility. (S.C. Code Ann.§ 24-13-440.)
You may not carry a firearm on school premises (including day care and preschool facilities), in law enforcement offices or facilities, in court facilities, at polling places on election days, in churches or other religious sanctuaries,or in hospitals or medical facilities. (S.C. Code Ann.§ 23-31-215.)

(17,575 posts)South Carolina forbids residents with concealed-carry permits to bring their weapons into a church or other established religious sanctuary without express permission from a church official or other authority affiliated with the institution. In 2011, a bill that would have allowed people to carry their concealed weapons in churches and other houses of worship failed in the South Carolina legislature.

(2,062 posts)Not to make light of this or ANY mass murder, but can you show me where the South Carolina law allows guns in church. Can you give me a link to the law. I have been searching and have come up with the law forbids guns in church.....just a clearification...thanks. I have seen this statement though, so I am confused over this thread title...."It is illegal to carry a concealed handgun in a church in South Carolina without specific permission from the local clergy
