The photographer took a series of 14 photos, and I just can't help but think it's a subtle (maybe no-so-subtle) political jab. Great framing in my book!

(15,095 posts)That would have been unacceptable, IMHO. But showing him posed in front of a picture of a gun is okay, although I'd argue it's still in pretty bad taste no matter how we feel about him.

(4,959 posts)It isn't like the photog told him to stand there. He chose to do a 2nd amendment speech in front of a poster of gun pics. I'd say that's what is in bad taste, in light of the event his reactionary bullshit is in response to.
I'm tempted to give the photographer and editors a pass on this one.

Meanwhile, he has no problem with real guns being pointed at lots and lots of people.
