Bill O'Reilly: "Historical Context" Of Confederate Flag 'Represents Bravery'

Nope. Not The Onion.

http://mediamatters.org/video/2015/06/22/oreilly-to-black-guest-confederate-battle-flag/204094

WILLIAMS: The Confederate flag, symbol of hate. You saw people like Tim Scott, Reverend Goff, the man who spoke in the church yesterday. They talked about he wanted a race war and, in fact, somehow, this is bringing black and white people together. I think we sometimes don't celebrate when people come together.

O'REILLY: That's a positive and I just -- got to go. You say the Confederate flag is a symbol of hate and you believe that. ...

O'REILLY: Okay, okay. And absolutely 100 percent legitimate. For some other people who see it in a historical context -- ...

O'REILLY: It represents bravery.

It represents the bravery shown by those who blocked entrances to public schools and refused to allow black students to enter. It represents the bravery of those who screamed "Ni88er! Ni88er!" at little girls. Yeah, Bill, whole lotta bravery goin on there.

by people who are afraid of black men unless they are mowing their lawns
who are afraid of black women unless they are cleaning their houses or cooking their food.

They need their guns because otherwise they would be too afraid to walk outside should they meet a person of color.
they need their license places to show their friends they are brave even though they need to prove it, they can't just be it.

Billo is a racist idiot...not bravery.

......hatred/vile hatred of the U.S Government under President Abe Lincoln..(the states withdrew because of Lincoln) damn.... it was a Civil War............

Put it like this..in today's numbers that would represent 6,500,000 deaths....... in a population of 310,000,000

because 650,000 deaths in a 1860 population of 31,000,000..

.Billlo is a fucking stupid racist idiot who knows nothing of the awful death and destruction of the Civil War...that would not have taken place if the states had not pulled out of the union..Further, Lincoln was trying to restrict the spread of slavery, so at some point it would end, the South saw that as a threat, so they withdrew from the Union which was an act of War..
..Billo doesn't have a clue about what slavery was and what it represents..../ and he couldn't care less....
