The fucking republicans wanted fast track SOOO bad, they're going to start punishing their members who cast NO votes today.
What does that say about Fast Track and TPP in general; that the fucking republicans wanted it so bad?
Speaks fucking volumes to me.

Now what will Obama do?

(17,449 posts)Those Republican House members are not being punished necessarily for opposing their leadership on the substance of TPA, but for opposing leadership on a procedural matter that all members of the majority caucus are expected to support, regardless of how they vote on the underlying bill.
Under a majority held by either party, it is likely members would face consequences for opposing their leadership on rules in a high profile vote. Not something unexpected, and not particularly important.
