Meet the intrepid writers who unearthed the alleged Charleston shooters racist manifesto and disturbing photosa discovery that could blow apart any insanity plea.
It took two independent writers working together on Twitter and $49 to make what could be one of the biggest discoveries yet in the case of Dylann Roof. In a South Carolina courtroom on Friday, Roof was charged with nine counts of murder for the killing of nine black parishioners who invited him into their Bible study group. A webpage registered under Roofs name contains a trove of photos of the suspected killer, and a white nationalist political manifesto.
Emma Quangel, the nom de guerre of writer and Twitter user @EMQuangel, discovered the website that appears to contain Roofs manifesto. After I congratulated her for her investigative work, Quangel told me that she saw it as her duty. As a communist, Quangel said, it is my duty and obligation to spend at least $49 to help ruin this guys insanity plea.

This is what sent them all on the defensive - the internet and cameras are changing the dynamics.
I nominate these two for the Nobel Peace Prize for tearing down the lies re mental illness, the so called war on Christians and White Supremacy and for silencing the usual suspects on racism. They have nowhere to hide after this exposure.

(1,035 posts)It's sad that two private citizens found this before law enforcement. As a researcher by training and profession and knowing how easy it is to do this, that boggles the mind. My hat is off to them. It did change the narrative.

It sure did change the narrative and they did way more than tear up the usual talking points re lone wolf and mental health issues.

(1,683 posts)Lone wolf usually means there was no conspiracy directly traceable to other parties and involving them in the crime.

There needs to be a complete forensic. Even if he used the TOR browser on a thumb drive, there will be clues left behind. The TOR browser isn't completely untraceable.
It's likely somebody took those photos of him on the website.
Like I mentioned in another post, the CCC has 200 members in S.C. including a sizeable contingent in the Summerville area.
