Why is Jindal even bothering?

I don't get it at all. He can't imagine that he has any chance of becoming the GOP nominee, and he's a very unlikely choice for VP by any of the leading candidates.

So, what is motivating Pyush "Bobby" Jindal?

Any ideas?

Declare as GOP, start up your super PAC, and let money from people with no brains pour in.

Unfortunately, with this many of them in the race, that torrent will be a dribble, especially for Jindal. He has few allies outside Louisiana.

He'll make speeches, give up, write books and start a stupid tee vee thing, like Sarah Palin. They will appear together on some crap right-wing channel, maybe one of the new ones like Newsmax. The world will explode.

Same thing with Lindsey Graham, Sarah Palin, Donald Trump, Mike Huckabee, Rick Santorum and a few others.

They are basically the people who show up for American Idol convinced they can sing like Marvin Gaye or Whitney Houston when in actuality they sound like a buzz saw ripping through metal.

Notice how preoccupied we are here with differences between Clinton, O'Malley, Sanders and Webb. There's grist for all kinds of disagreements (one would hope they're respectful, by the way) over policy and politics. But look at the Republican field: Name three policy differences between Jindal, Huckabee, and Cruz. What is there to recommend one over the others, or for any Republican voter (who hasn't just given up in despair and gone to live in the wilderness) to say it's Jeb! or nobody?

He makes a few ripples in the media, boosts his crazy quotient, earns some nods among the septuagenarian "Deliverance" rejects, and gets a new jig on Fox.

in the same way that Carson, Fiorina, and Rubio are; the GOP trying to give off an inclusive vibe when they still actually aren't so much.

30. VP for Scott Walker?

Walker is from a northern state, and no minority ethnic ties; so Jindal may think he'd tick a few boxes for him, while obviously not being in any position to influence anything Walker does, and thus no threat to the Koch's plans. I suspect the Koch Bros. might want someone more substantial, though, in case Walker's past catches up with him, or Jindal becomes too much of a laughing stock.

But Jindal may as well try. He won't get re-elected as governor, and if nothing else, this is an audition for Fox, during which he can employ a few friends on what passes for a campaign (depending on whether anyone throws money in his direction).
