Bristol Palin Is Pregnant Again: ‘A Huge Disappointment to My Family’

In a blog post Thursday, Sarah Palin’s daughter Bristol Palin revealed some “big news.” Five weeks after she announced she had called off her wedding to Sgt. Dakota Meyer at the last minute, Palin informed her readers that she is pregnant with her second child.

“Honestly, I’ve been trying my hardest to keep my chin up on this one,” she wrote. “At the end of the day there’s nothing I can’t do with God by my side, and I know I am fully capable of handling anything that is put in front of me with dignity and grace.”

“I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you,” Palin added. “But please respect Tripp’s and my privacy during this time. I do not want any lectures and I do not want any sympathy.”

It has been nearly seven years since Palin’s first pregnancy, with then-boyfriend Levi Johnston, became national news in the midst of her mother’s vice presidential candidacy announcement. She gave birth to Tripp Johnston in December 2008 and ended her engagement with Levi three months later.

Who gives a damn whether her kid is 'legitimate' or not?

What's disgusting is the X-tian hype and hypocrisy on display, and the Palin family's propensity to turn it all to profit.

How about sticking the 'baby mama' label on her like they do on single WOC?

'baby mama'

A term used to define an unmarried young woman (but can be a woman of any age) who has had a child. As mentioned before in another definition, most of the time it is used for when it was simply a sexual relationship, compared to ex-wife or girlfriend. Usually this has a negative connotation, a lot of baby mamas are seen as desperate, gold digging, emotionally starved, shady women who had a baby out of spite or to keep a man. Sometimes they may act like this because of missed child support payments, unfulfilled promises by the father, or convenient sex by the father. Either or both may exist in any situation.

I lived in a trailer during my formative years.

Bristol Palin has lived in a trailer and has done everything possible to be a person one should never emulate. There is nothing about her that should be respectable nor held up as a good thing.

Bristol has become pregnant out of wedlock not on just one occasion, but now twice. She apparently cannot actually respect her God and keep her legs shut.

It is very clear that Bristol Palin favors carnal knowledge of a man over being pure and not being an adulter. Bristol has now become pregnant out of wedlock not once, but twice. Her ability to opine about morality is shattered.

Backsliders who return to the fold are prized and their stories are celebrated among the brethren and sistern, some of these folks do this stuff on a damn near weekly basis. We are all sinners, what you do is not nearly as important to many fundies as what you profess to believe, if she says the right words in the right tone it's not only forgiven but used as an example for others to follow.

...then she should do the responsible thing and come out for sex education. Simple as that. If you believe getting pregnant merits "disappointment" (it's not, it happens, even using proper contraceptives) then you should be for prevention, not shame politics.

Her self-shaming only underscores her own belief in disappointment in herself. There's nothing wrong with sex, there's nothing wrong with getting pregnant (though there are some downsides to poorer people who don't make hundreds of thousands a year shilling for abstinent programs, it's not something to be shamed over).

What's wrong is telling people the objectively wrong way to go about sexual relations (abstinence) and then shaming them for not being that way when you yourself are a hypocrite of the highest order.

Coming clean about the failure of abstinence programs is simply the only way Bristol Palin clears her image. Any other attempts should be mocked and ridiculed.

Roundup: Bristol Makes a Quarter Million as Abstinence Spokesperson

Bristol Palin made $262,500 last year as a spokesperson for teen abstinence on behalf of the Candies Foundation. Her salary is about ten times as much as the foundation spent on grants to teen abstinence programs ($35,000). Candies also spent $165,000 on a television ad featuring Palin with Jersey Shore personality Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, a fellow Dancing with the Stars cast member, discussing abstinence. The Situation wisely advises Palin to carry a condom just in case a “situation” arises. She declines.

Abstinence and Hypocrisy: Bristol Palin is Pregnant
June 25, 2015

Abstinence spokesperson and traditional family values advocate Bristol Palin is pregnant.

Palin deserves a lecture on hypocrisy, on the power of celebrity, and the failure of abstinence-only sex education.

But Palin also deserves our sympathy. Nobody should be worried about disappointing friends and family by announcing a pregnancy. The fact that Palin anticipates such disappointment reflects the poverty and emptiness of those traditional family values conservative Christians are always talking about.

That's much of the fundamentalist mindset, we are all sinners and what you profess to believe is much more important than what you actually do, particularly if you are publicly and emotionally repenting some horrid sin.

It sounds nuts but I grew up in that atmosphere to some extent and yeah, the backslider who repents is a rock star at church.

Is that what good Christians think of that perfect form growing in her uteus...a disaapointment? Lets hope this wonderful child blessed by God, never reads any of Bristol's statements. I suppose they can brag that at least it was never aborted.

I suppose it must be Bristol meant something different that a disappointing child. And we (the rest of the little people watching the drama unfold) must all make the herculean effort to embrace and understand they (the fundies)are not talking about God's perfect creation being a disappointment.

HOWEVER...AND IN CONTAST

Obama, mentions an unwanted pg is a mistake, and gawd almighty the entire world comes crashing in on Chrstendom. That Obama dare verbalize that a God's perfect creation is considered a mistake. Doesn't matter what he really meant, the fundies and especially the Palin clan, made sure to broadcast what a nasty disgusting, moral-less, petty thing Obama said.

I suppose it's just another case of fundy hypocricy.

Sometimes I think it's more like chronic swearing ,some people use cuss as a means of expression ,others have little vocabulary.
I guess they run out of thought and trash for talk or what could appear to be some kind of ill formed opinion seems to fill in the void for them.

Perhaps if they do not have people, places and things to look down upon they can have no sense of relevance or some sense of importance about the self.

Ignorance comes to mind, I suppose everybody gets caught up in it every so now and again.
