GOP's next practiced meme: "The Supreme Court is not God."

I've heard it at least twice already and today is still the first day.

While it's true that the Supreme Court is not God, it is also true that God is not our Supreme Court.

The Constitution does not recognize God as the arbitrator of its laws. It does, however, recognize the Supreme Court as the final arbitrator of the laws of the land.

Some in the GOP are STILL desperately clinging to the idea of the Moral Majority and Christianity in American life and politics. We can however, however, build it better just as people. We don't need any stinking religion to decide "morality." I will put faith in my fellow man and democracy and progress. The GOP are actually often the immoral ones who need their perverse urges curbed regarding the constitution.
