His eulogy was one of the most powerful things I've ever beheld. Deep breath.

There was a lot of Rev Wright there today - turns out Wright was right.
Go back to the speech on race.

I understood what Reverend Wright was saying in the context in which he was saying it.

I've never seen anything like it in my lifetime. It was frank, it was honest, it was emotionally charged while also being extremely thoughtful.

It was a lecture on race - what we failed to see. He covered everything succinctly.
This will be in lecture rooms and class rooms for decades to come - maybe centuries.
There is no one else who could have done this - the first African American President is making the case to tear down the walls of racism - institutional and otherwise.

You'll have to fast forward unless you want to watch the entire funeral.
CSpan is repeating the entire service again - they've showed nothing else since morning.

There's a link to the tape here at DU with the time Obama begins.

and texted my daughter to watch.

It was great they re-aired that with no commercials.

Since msnbc went to lockup I switched it, looked at cnn all the talk is about the dead prisoner in NY. Faux noise is talking about Isis being bad and nadda about nothing other than a suicide attack somewhere. Crazy world we live in. Aljazeera America is actually talking about the news in the USA, like the SCOTUS rulings the Presidents Eulogy. Oh well time for Hanger 1: UFO Files.

All I thought while viewing this was how God gave us, the USA grace, even though we didn't deserve it, when Obama became President.

I love this man. He will go down in history as one of our country's greatest Presidents. We really don't deserve him but I thank God every day that he is our President.
