Conservatism has lost its family jewels...

In a week that saw the Supreme Court approval of Obamacare and same-sex marriage, Republicans were hyperventilating over the sudden rush of events. They almost lost their breath when people started taking down the Confederate battle flag. What did they have left, once the Supreme Court and the people of this country slapped their hands and took away their political toys?

Where do they go from here? Their "family values" argument doesn't have the value that it once had. With the next election quickly approaching, do they double down on Benghazi and Hillary emails? Or do they run against an "activist" Supreme Court that has attacked their "religious freedom"? Stay tuned.

But honestly, no one give a crap about Benghazi or emails, except for people who would never vote for a Democrat anyway.

It remains to be seen if "socialist" is still poison nationally.

Or as he put it "right to life"

They plan on fighting these rulings for decades and generations if necessary.

6. Fighting these rulings only appeals to their far-right base.

The far-right is going to vote for them no matter what.

In order to win, they need to appeal to swing voters, who much more supportive of gay marriage and don't fly Confederate battle flags from the beds of their pickup trucks.

What a conundrum...

'meaningless social issues, hardly important at all'? It was like, last month.

The same folks who kept yapping that civil rights are not as important at money sure are willing to pretend they have always sought marriage equality and racial equity when the mood of the country suits such a stance.

The GOP has fallen. Soon someone will remark that there are cattle grazing on the RNC's lawn.
