He has done some good things but my gut says TPP is going to haunt us for decades much like NAFTA.

Those who oppose him will never be convinced, while those who support him should find it unnecessary to defend.

have been aware of all of them. Or even most. Or some.

Just setting the record straight so the Obama haters, whatever the reason they are negative, don't give a lopsided view of things.

Some on DU "claim" to be from the left, but constantly post BS about how terrible the president is, how he has accomplished "NOTHING", he is just another republican, just like Nixon, etc. then you think we should just ignore that and leet the keep it up?

Yes there is a "HUGE" different between the left and the right. Do you think that both parties are the same? I keep hearing that crap from posters here and it seems like those who post that crap should be called out for it. Ignoring those who make such comments is not really an option, they need to be called out when they make such right wing remarks.

out. And any president is just doing his job - sometimes he gets good reviews, sometimes bad ones. The weird cult of personality surrounding Obama is really kind of off-putting. He is not some supreme being.

I like Bernie, but some of his so called supporters, who have complained about blind loyalty to Obama, are pretty much doing the same thing with Bernie. If anyone dares to point out something Bernie did that might not be correct, they gang up and go after the person that posted, and totally ignore the issue at hand.

Sure seems to me like they have formed a "cult of personality" around him.

Look, we get it, you dont like the guy no matter how many good things he does, if he does ONE thing you are against, like TPP, he is bad.

am I to just say oh, but he did 291 other things, so that's okay? (not clicking on that, last time I looked at one of those things it was counting prayer breakfasts and speeches as accomplishments).

Serious question - why do you care? He cannot run again. I doubt he cares what I think.

And the day that I blindly and unquestioningly praise EVERYTHING that any president does is never going to get here. The day I am okay with something that looks to be so bad that Obama has to work with a gleeful GOP to get 'er done - not gonna happen. People in other countries are protesting the TPP and TTIP - gee, do they hate Obama, too?
And again, what's it to you? Obama's future is assured. He does not need my vote again. This is not a popularity contest.

Oh, and I don't care about Obama personally. That would be silly. He was elected to do a job. I am commenting on something he did/is doing that I do not like. The hyperbole around here about hating Obama is ridiculous.

Like some many other things that people have said would happen, and the didn't, we don't know about this one, or any of the other things that keep getting posted about what is going to happen because of the TPP. I have seen so many here with their hair on fire for years now making false claims about all kinds of bad things the president is "going to do", or how this or that will happen because he isn't really a liberal, that I find it hard to accept anything, until the "ALL" the facts are in. I will give the president the benefit of the doubt until I see the results.

As for the hate, it's real and it's not really that hard to see, if one is willing to look for it.

from this TPP slow-motion nightmare O's pushing through Congress.

I LOVE all the cool stuff he HAS done, but don't expect me to forget
or be ok with any elected official who actively & deliberately sells out the entire US
Labor movement, and cedes US sovereignty to Int'l Corporate Tribunals.

When I'm trying to make points, I do my best to avoid words like ALWAYS, EVERY, NEVER, ALL, NONE, etc.

I don't think you'll find a DUer who's saying things about his "entire" presidency.
