GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump on Saturday made fun of Sen. John McCains (R-Ariz.) military service during a question-and-answer session at the the 2015 Family Leadership Summit in Ames, Iowa.
The New York business mogul taunted McCains six years as a prisoner during the Vietnam War.
He was a war hero because he was captured, Trump sarcastically told host Frank Luntz during the 2015 Family Leadership Summit. I like people who werent captured.
The quip came after Luntz challenged Trump over his criticism of McCains political career.

(7,768 posts)After McCain criticized Trump's visit to Phoenix last weekend, saying he "fired up the crazies" in regard to his controversial comments on illegal immigration, Trump called the Arizona senator a "dummy" on Twitter.
".@SenJohnMcCain should be defeated in the primaries. Graduated last in his class at Annapolis--dummy," he said.

(7,596 posts)Seriously, I'm sick of military service being used as a shield from criticism for asshole behavior in other aspects of a person's life. That piece of shit criminal Michael Grimm who was recently sentenced to eight months in prison happens to be a Gulf War veteran. Does that make him someone worthy of admiration?
