No doubt as to what the battle flag means to each subject of the photos. Yet the under-educated half-wits will consistently allow us their famous red-herring, "symbols mean different things to different people."

Gov. Zell Miller proposed changing the Georgia flag the first time--the whole state went loony, and the matter was eventually dropped until Roy Barnes came into office.
