Reno TV anchorwoman fires back at idiot who emailed her about 'unsightly weight gain'

... KOLO (Reno) Anchor Sarah Johns has been at the station since 2007. There is no doubt she has gotten her share of these type of emails.

But, she finally got one that she just had to respond to and you can't really blame her.

Johns posted the email to Facebook and then responded:

Dear PrEdwardIsland I am sincerely NOT sorry that you can no longer watch based solely on my appearance. I'd rather my co-workers be viewed by an audience that APPRECIATES THEIR HARD WORK AND PROFESSIONALISM.

And my dear friends at KTVN have my sincere sympathy for gaining your viewership. They, too, should be held in the highest esteem FOR. THEIR. WORK.

for responding but, I don't think there is anything that could be done about the crazy viewer. If he continued with more of the same there might be grounds for a harassment suite. Public figures often have to endure this king of treatment.

The emails I see from people in this area are frightening sometimes. It's like they have too much time on their hands or something. They bitch and complain about our lighting, our set, the hair of our anchors, the way they speak, etc. Heck our Facebook page is littered with this nonsense, too. And people wonder why we have body-shaming issues in this country. Just horrible people who probably don't look that good themselves!!

Luckily, I've long since stopped taking that stuff personally. I have fun with that kind of criticism now.
