(31,419 posts)and I saw these stationary lights in the sky! Yikes! I thought it was a spaceship.
I did have a few glasses of wine with dinner. Called everybody else out and they easily
identified it as a drone. Someone was having great fun. But it clearly was NOT being
flown only over the owner's property. Eventually, it zoomed back away from the beach
toward the inlet side of the island.

(16,867 posts)were banned in this country. Maybe then we would have the decency to ban them for military actions as well. I don't see any reason for people to have a drone unless they want to spy on others. I had a remote controlled airplane when I was a kid, but I didn't fly it over other people's property and it didn't have a camera. Just because we can build something doesn't mean we should.

(10,201 posts)I don't mind their ownership. We've had RC planes for decades. They should however require a license, and training if you are going to fly them off your property or over 500 or so feet.
