Scott Walker Supporter Arrested At Bill Clinton Rally

A lone Scott Walker supporter was arrested at a campaign rally for Milwaukee mayor Tom Barrett today, where Bill Clinton also spoke. The man had been arguing with rally attendees since before the rally began, and held a sign that said "Support Scott Walker, Not Union Thugs."

After the end of Clinton's speech, the man was taken away by police and taken to the corner of Pere Marquette Park in downtown Milwaukee as the police waited for their car to arrive.

The arrest was the latest in a long series of incidents in a race marked by intense, personal bitterness on both sides.

"I have no idea why I'm being handcuffed," he told the gaggle of reporters who had followed him. "They won't tell anybody what I did wrong. What rally specifically do I get to peacefully protest?"

He was the ONLY Walker supporter there and a total douche. He kept screaming while Clinton was speaking.

On the way out, he was screaming at us all about how he has a right to be there and I screamed back telling him we have a right to call him a douche. My only regret is that it was at a county park and the sheriffs, not Barrett's PD who cuffed him.

Asshole.

away from the mayor. He was IN THE MAYOR'S FACE and was asked repeatedly to back the fuck off and didn't.

He freely heckled for 2 full hours. It was when the rally was wrapping up and Barrett and Clinton were working the crowd that he decided to push his luck and not listen to the cops.

It doesn't appear in the link, or the summary.

The story as stated made it appear he was arrested for being an asshole. That is not, so far as I am aware, yet a crime in this country.

Thanks for the clarification.

MILWAUKEE- A West Allis protester has been arrested and cited at a Democratic rally featuring former President Bill Clinton Friday at Pere Marquette Park.

Milwaukee police say the suspect was given a citation for disorderly conduct when he refused to follow police orders.

Police asked the man to step back from his location where he was waving a large wooden pole, but he didn't follow their instructions.

Authorities believe the man posed a threat because of his proximity to Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett.

The suspect was subsequently arrested, cited then released.

According to police, rally organizers warned police about that protester before the rally.

and then scream their rights of free speech are being taken away, because they can't destroy the bushes and stand where cops tell them they can't.

Just noticing that the same things happen on both sides, but some think it's okay if they agree with what the protester is saying.

Democratic hecklers get beat up, spat upon, and more. Cops do nothing. Lots and LOTS of video evidence from various teabagger hate-rallies from 2009-2011.
