. . . . the Wisconsin recall election campaigns?
I ask that because that oily Reince Priebus suggested that was the case in Wisconsin. "Big Public Union Boss Directed Money" is how he termed it.
The Koch brothers, alone, can outspend the total of all union money nationwide. The right wing wants to win in Wisconsin more than they want the presidency because they can directly use it as a model for how to destroy the social safety net. If they win there, every right wing nutjob governor will be energized.

(2,104 posts)But the point is usually that unions exist, unions have money, and unions give to democrats so everything is working as intended when billionaires and corporations give million after million for republicans. The fact that they can and often do outspend unions multiple times over isn't talked about nor is it relevant enough for the 'moderator/host' to make any mention of typically. Nor does it matter than so many unions of thousands of workers can and are outspent by a single millionaire/billionaire.
What republican/conservatives will spout off about is how unions 'take' worker's money and don't let them decide who to give it to for political action/endorsement. What isn't mentioned is how corporations haven't been raising workers wages for decades while paying ceo's and their kind more and more AND giving money to fund their own political agendas.
It is bad when the union that collect dues to further the union's goals, which are pretty much in line with the worker's 'best interests', gives money to further those goals but when a corporation denies workers money with stagnant/depressed wages and uses that money to fund the corporation's interests which are often not in the best interests of their workers it is fine. It is also perfectly fine to make the rich even richer with higher salaries/bonuses/etc to get the 'best' talent but workers aren't important or special like that even as they continue to become more productive.
