Barrett was leaving the Wisconsin state fair with his sister, niece and two daughters when he heard a woman crying for help. Barrett, who was walking to his car, instructed his sister to take the children out of harms way, then confronted the intoxicated man and tried to calm him. It was then the man beat Barrett with a pipe, putting him into the hospital severely injured.
Tom Barrett has served in the State Assembly and Senate, as well as the U.S. House of Representatives and then became Mayor of Milwaukee in 2004. He has the experience to lead this state in a direction that will not only create jobs, but restore the states reputation in caring for its people.

(31,849 posts)Yesterday, it was reported throughout the internets that Walker's best friend and aide turned on him and provided information to the media (a newspaper) that Walker was stone-walling a investigation. It was implied in the article that this revelation strongly suggests that Walker is a target of that, or another-related investigation.
My question is:
Did this story appear in the local (Wisconsin market) TV or print media?

(46,379 posts)According to the source I saw the story of the beating in, it was a length of rebar, not a pipe.
Well, not important, either weapon could do a lot of damage.
