It marked the third time that I have had the privilege of voting for this outstanding person: two CA primaries and one presidential election.
Decided to vote "Yes" on Prop 29 which increases cigarette taxes by $1 a pack.
BTW - Orly Taitz was listed as a candidate for US Senator.
I voted for Feinstein...again. CA's new primary system pits the top two vote getters in the primary against each other in the general, regardless of party affiliation, so Feinstein could conceivably run against a fellow D in November (unlikely).

(81,612 posts)And regarding Prop 29, what confirmed my choice for how I'm gonna vote on that (YES) was looking at all that fine print at the end of the commercials - and sure enough, there it was - those key two words: "Phillip Morris." And of course a couple of fancy-ass innocuous "citizen" groups that are just fronts for more CONservative anti-tax people. And every so often you see the Howard Jarvis people in there, too. Well, if they oppose it, I'm absolutely voting FOR it. It actually helps, sometimes, to see republi-CON recommendations for voting choices, to know how NOT to vote.

When I moved here from VA back in 1990 I was shocked at how much more cigarettes cost. So shocked I quit. Cold Turkey. Thank you CA! Who knows, maybe it will encourage more to do the same?

(14,180 posts)Freedom candidate. (Unlikely but it would be great for the state of CA if such were to transpire, imo
I get to vote for Maxine Waters (woot-woot) as my Rep!. What a change, having moved from Jane Harman's (Ugh!) district. (I was re-dsitricted from Karen Bass to Maxine Waters.)
