In some sci-fi movie I saw a long time ago, the aliens who previously were unstoppable began to

stager and fall. All around huge invading aliens were dropping like flies.

I keep getting that same vision when I think about the coming elections. The right with Citizens United are the aliens this time who are unstoppable but something in the air causes them to stumble and fall. I think today is the start of my vision coming true. People power is the thing in the air.

the aliens were not immune to the bugs we are or something and that's what took them down in that movie.

Slim Whitman music made the Martians' heads explode. He was singing "Canadian Love Song" as only Slim Whitman could do. But, I think the one you're thinking of was War of the Worlds. If I remember correctly, it was the common cold that did the aliens in.
