Dear President Obama, I thank for making your decision to visit Hiroshima memorial.
I am an Asian and I am original from Japan.
I have a very strong feeling against nuclear weapon.
When I was a undergraduate student at a small University in Ohio, my Chemistry professor was ruining a independent seminar
about nuclear weapon. Naturally, I became very curious and attended his lecture.
It turned out that he attended 'Manhattan Project' as a young Chemist. After Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombing, his soul search
had started.
In the end, he told us that it was wrong. It was wrong in many level. Maybe most relevant thing was, according to him, it has an aspect of 'experiment'.
He said that there was no excuse they can possibly make for 'Nagasaki Bombing'. Even Hiroshima bombing was so wrong since Hiroshima did not have any 'military base target'.
In addition, he said it was sad to admit that we would not have bombed neither Germany nor Italy. This was rather shocking revelation since the race also played the role.
It is , in this sense, doubly important that Mr. Obama will visit the memorial.
Thank you,
Hardtops
