He practically called a guy defending businesses over the workers a child and an idiot!

(552 posts)It's too bad that when some of our Democratic leaders do the same, the traitors we have lurking in the shadows of our party come out of the woodwork to defend big business.

(1,881 posts)I remember him a couple of weeks ago totally dismantling Michael Steele into a pile of blabbering nonsense. Matthews longs for the days like when he was in government, when both sides talked like adults.

(135,960 posts)thus far, I don't think Obama has been too attention grabbing either. Trust me, I will campaign and vote for him, however, I think Tweety was just giving constructive and tough criticism to the Democrats.

(5,504 posts)It was constructive criticism.

(8,646 posts)As others have said, most people only understand political rhetoric if it's at the 3rd grade level. Obama's message is far to complex and nuanced for the American electorate. He needs to break it down.

(5,909 posts)Who is this asshole? Asking Chris "what did Republicans block?" I watch MSNBC all time and I don't think I've ever seen him.

Brilliant work by Tweety. Full-throated defense of activist government in the face of a do-nothing private sector and their lackeys in Congress.
"If you focus and keep up, you'll be on top of this issue."
Hilarious.

(552 posts)Until they start spending the trillions that they are sitting on, we should be taxing them and creating government work programs. Give them an ultimatum, you spend the money or we will do it for you. We have bailed you out for the last time!
Horse with no Name
(33,959 posts)They are sitting on the TRILLIONS of money they received out of OUR pockets in the form of tax cuts with the promise to create jobs....and not THEIR own hard earned money. That is a fine point but totally agree with what you just said.

(12,296 posts)Stop and think for a second, this is exactly what they WANT to happen.
Lots of unemployed, rising prices = desperate workers who will take reduced salaries, no bene's and piss poor working conditions, just so they can "put food on their families".
They'll have destroyed the Labor movement, any worker-favorable atmosphere and the economy, all in one fell swoop, while still sitting on the biggest compensation and profit margins in history.

(5,909 posts)"Jesus!" That's what Chris just said after ranting about who got us into Iraq and wrecked the economy----the Republicans.
Awesome!

(16,254 posts)He must have repeated "dunce hat" 6 or so time.
He's been fired up the last couple of weeks about what's behind this election...money, corporations not letting loose of the money and the shenanigans of the Republican party.
I think he's scared of a Rmoney administration and I know how that feels.
It didn't matter how much money Obama raised, they'll beat him out each accounting period. That's the only thing they have on their side. The 1% and the money. Forget ideas and intelligence.

I am sure Chris is going to take this a a PERSONAL crusade now. He (especially) doesn't like be questioned or challenged by the opposition on an issue that he is passionate on and the gentleman that was in the discussion stuck a stick in the hornet's net and got stung badly.
Good TV for those who missed it.

(3,650 posts)The guy was a total asshole..saying that many thousands of UN peacekeepers raped..he actually said raped as they partied their way through their UN assignments. I think everyone at the table on morning Joe was in shock at the guy. I loved it when Willie said what he did. The guy was a jerk...and kind of scary.
