The MIC members need that government welfare to maintain their basic life styles. That's also why being rich necessitates those tax cuts. They need all those million$ just to keep body and house$ together. And maybe a few jets and yachts too.
How dare anyone suggest cutting the Defense budget. That's the main source of their barely adequate income. They work hard for your their money.

4. It isn't that we are throwing money at a problem because there really is no problem.

We just waste money to make dod contractors rich and grease the hands of politicians who get those projects for them while pimping how pro america they are by being in favor of blowing shit up.

No real country is at war with us, no real country is a threat to us to justify the kind of spending we do. Even the 'terror' war doesn't warrant the kind of money we throw at it.

A problem would be our country's woeful performance when compared to many other 'civilized' nations but that isn't one we seem to care to spend money on.

It cost about $25 billion* in 1969 dollars to fund the apollo missions today that would be about 150billion dod spending this year is 700billion@.

If we spend the kind of money we do on defense at home who knows what we could do.
