A "rising tide" DOES NOT merely "lift all boats".

It will also drown your ass if you can't afford a fucking boat!

Romney and his rich, asshole, Repuke buddies don't know or don't care that the vast majority of us are WAY more concerned with putting food on the table and avoiding a catastrophic health care emergency than we are with finding a marina deep enough to berth our yachts!

Even if you have no compassion it is not wise to slight the masses and enrich yourself disproportionately. It makes for an unstable and dangerous world.

Sure, a rising tide lifts all boats, but if you hoist a boat out of the harbor, the water doesn't rise up with it.

..they drown at a greater depth. And they're less likely to come back up to the surface.

"A rising tide lifts all the yachts.
It also drowns those who cannot swim."

I finally did figure out what Bush the Lesser meant by "the ownership society." What he was really saying was "the own-a-ship society." And it meant that everyone who owned a yacht got a tax break--and the rest of us were screwed.

If all the states outlaw rising tides like NC we can just ignore it.

Problem solved.
