2015: Inequality gets worse. (Quelle Surprise)

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/income-inequality-keeps-getting-worse_us_577663b7e4b0a629c1a9805a?section=

Even though the 1 percent are still doing better than the rest of us, seeing 7.7 percent income growth in 2015, there is a little bit of good news in the data: The bottom 99 percent saw the largest real income growth in 17 years. Average people’s incomes rose nearly 4 percent last year.

IOW: Stop whining. Your income grew 4% while the cream of the crop took almost double that. And adding to that your higher effective tax rate and the inability to buy your own political representative, means that your shit sandwich now actually comes with one thin slice of bread. Hoo rah.

we have to raise taxes on the 1%. The 1% did well under FDR (at least the stock market boomed) but they paid much, much higher taxes back then.
