Although my town is pretty tolerant...

(12,165 posts)Have you been quiet of late, or am I just missing your posts. They always pick me up.
CaliforniaPeggy
(149,831 posts)I have been a bit quieter lately...busier home life and just general ennui.
But I had to post this!

(12,165 posts)I can only remember one time that you got a bit shirty with someone and they deserved it. Can't remember what that was about.

(17,241 posts)It's a nice bumper sticker, but it does raise the spectre of Cruz or Walker. Would Trump be worse than either? Probably, but I wouldn't want to live on the difference.

(149,831 posts)And as to your second point: I did think of that too.......but my visceral response to this bumper sticker was so compelling that I had to have it anyway.

(17,241 posts)... but it has been occurring to me recently that the rising generation really has nothing to compare it with, to truly assimilate how bad things are. Politics has been going steadily downhill this entire century, and it wasn't too far up the hill to begin with.
Some politicians stand out as complete aberrations in the new norm, though.

(5,167 posts)presumed Democratic opponent, not an Republican alternative to Trump, or one of the "third" party alternatives, Johnson or Stein.

(149,831 posts)First of all, it's a paper bag!
And secondly, it's not photoshopped. I taped it to the license plate.
I did have, once upon a time, a program that allowed me to cover anything I didn't want seen, like these numbers/letters. I could not find it anywhere.
So I went back to covering it by hand.
Phooey!

(17,241 posts)... could still make some deductions from the number on your inspection sticker.

(149,831 posts)That's just the year it expires. A lot of car licenses expire next year!

(17,241 posts)**Facepalm** I thought it might be the number of the inspection station.

Truly amazing.

(34,845 posts)You can't see the Coexistence sticker but it's there. Today as I was walking out to my car from Target, someone stopped to take a picture and we got to talking about it.
It's still a work in progress. I've tried to stay away from direct political slogans but my hat is off to you for daring to diss 'The Trump'!

(24,901 posts)Also we saw a small SUV with a big "F*cktrump" sticker on the back. Not any other political stickers just that one. No doubt how that person feels.

(206,934 posts)But how did you keep your DU sticker so pristine?? Mine is so faded it's pretty unreadable - and I've gone through three, I think, with my present car.
CaliforniaPeggy
(149,831 posts)It's probably because I don't get my car washed very often! And it stays in the garage when I'm not using it.
Those are my best guesses!
