The Alaskan rep said 12 votes went to Cruz and 11 to Trump, yet the state went for Trump . . . exactly as the state voted. Just curious. How does that happen?

(570 posts)no one responded, but Alaska is on the floor again taking exception to the way the votes were counted.
Edit: It seems all of their votes went to Trump, but Alaska's rules indicate that splitting the delegate votes is in order.

(570 posts)Priebus seemed to say that since Trump was the only candidate still in the race the votes all went to Trump. It seemed odd because that wasn't the case for some other states, but I didn't realize that the rules were decided state-by-state.

(90,803 posts)It can be confusing, especially this year with many not wanting to nominate Trump.
Can't really blame them for that though. lololol
