He's baaaaack! They're baaaaack together! Jon Stewart Takes Over Colbert's Late Show Desk

Last edited Fri Jul 22, 2016, 09:03 AM - Edit history (1)

Some stories, like the ouster of Fox News chairman Roger Ailes, are too big for one late night host to tackle alone.

Money shot:

"I SEE YOU...I SEE YOUR BULLSHIT...You've got a problem with those Americans fighting for their place at the table.

Take it up with the founders.
...

Those fighting to be included in the ideal of equality are NOT being divisive...those fighting to keep those people out ARE.
...

Clearly, the Cs next to your names don't stand for Constitutional or Conservative, but for Cravenly Convenient C___s."

I hereby nominate Jon Stewart for the Congressional Medal of Honor for Service to the American Nation.

Hi,

Thanks for this link.

So good to see JS telling it like it is. The airhorn covered a word that I believe does describe the subjects correctly. This is not to say that some republicans, or even Trump supporters are not good people, but they have been badly misled. If Trump does win, and it is looking dangerously close, then Jon's words will come back to bite them.

D.

Classic monologue and righteous rant. Jon should be given the Congressional Medal of Honor for Service to the Nation.

Cue Carly Simon.

Jon is great in pointing out the stunning hypocrisy of Faux News, from "Lumpy" and all of them. The bubble sitters who lap them up somehow do not grasp this.

They are selling their soul more than ever with Trump.

They would not exist had the Fairness Doctrine stayed in place.

This election will show us just how far the dumbing down has gone.
