(9,148 posts)his experience in Foreign Intel, which is a direct blow to Trump's lack of. Especially following his statement on NATO & his affinity for Putin.
There are issues in question about Kaine but there are obvious strengths he brings as a good fit with Hillary's governance style & vision.
He's not a loud mouth cocky overbearing type.
It is his job as VP to assist the President regardless of his own preferences.
He is obviously someone Hillary can work closely with & trust.
That's a key componant.
And he is very skilled at going against the NRA gun lobby.
Remember, Hillary will be the President & he will be her VP.
Guess we'll find out soon & I will support her choice, whomever it is.

(934 posts)may have been Sherrod Brown of Ohio.
ChoppinBroccoli
(3,786 posts)I absolutely love Sherrod Brown. He's MY Senator, and my favorite politician in Washington. I was begging for him to run for President this year (and he would have won, too). The problem is, I heard that his wife threatened to divorce him if he ran for President, so I would assume that would preclude him from being VP as well. It's too bad, because I'm pretty sure he would have won had he run, and I'm dead-solid CERTAIN he would have mopped the floor with Drumpf.

(2,023 posts)That seat will have to be filled by an election....earlier than needed...in a "purple" state when it's the only election in the nation and all the GOP dark $ in the world to fight.
C'mon Man.....
