I'm not going to say she shouldn't have been constrained from leaving. But she should have been given follow-up treatment after her 10 days in the hospital (after her breakdown) and not treated as a defendant but as a witness in a case against a serial rapist.

Many DUers aren't hovering over LBN, and would miss the chance to read and discuss events if they had to be there when it was breaking.
As a matter of fact, on any given day in GD you can find multiple postings about the same event, whether they ever appeared in LBN or not.
