Obstructionist racist Republicans in the Senate have prevented President Obama from filling the Supreme Court vacancy left open by the death of Justice Anthony Scalia.
The Supreme Court is presently divided between 4 conservative and 4 more liberal Justices -- the next president will get to decide the majority philosophy of the court by making a critical lifetime appointment, a decision that could set the balance for decades to come.
Electing Hillary Clinton as president and regaining a majority in the Senate are both within our reach this election. As a Senator Sanders supporter, I am asking like minded people to please consider what's at stake in who gets to make the next Supreme Court appointment and join me in supporting the Clinton-Kaine ticket.
I wish I could be more articulate here, I am struggling because this is an extremely important decision and one that can't be left for Donald Trump to make.
Please, don't vote for third party candidates, do not abstain from voting, do not vote apathetically -- vote like the future course of our country depends on your enthusiastic participation this election, because it does.
Thank you.

It's not about the life-time appointment. It's about the regularity with which justices are replaced thereby providing opportunity for the court to reflect the nation as it's reflected by the confirming members of the senate.
Since WWII, there has been on average there is at least one justice replaced per term. That's actually a good thing.
