Because there were no commercials last night, we got to see all the "little moments" and videos that the networks cut away for.

(34,141 posts)I don't remember conventions long ago having so much commentary that you couldn't hear the speeches.
I did completely miss the 2008 and 2012 conventions so maybe they were doing it then but I find MSNBC and CNN unwatchable.
