Viewers tuned into then Democratic National Convention on Monday night, with north of 28 million watching across the networks that split coverage during the last hour of primetime. It set an optimistic tone for ratings, with the second of four nights at least drawing positive early returns from the broadcast networks.
With adjusted broadcast returns and fresh cable numbers, at least 24.3 million viewers watched former President Bill Clinton's Tuesday night speech between 10 and 11:15 p.m. ET. As it did on Monday night,, NBC News led the pack among the broadcast networks though CNN again topped all of TV with more than 5.9 million viewers during the shared hour.
As a Ratings Junkie this is great news. Oh and it's higher than Donald's dudful ratings. Go Spit Donald!

The first two days of the DNC blow away the first two days of the RNC in terms of viewership and ratings.
Especially night 2.
Night 2 of the RNC had just slightly more than 10 million viewers!
Meanwhile, in that same time slot, Night 2 of the RNC lost out to NBC's "America's Got Talent" which drew 10.75 million viewers!
A former NBC reality TV show 'star' lost out to a current NBC reality TV show!

-----------
Coverage across NBC, CBS and ABC drew a total of 9.4 million viewers in 2012, with a 2.2 rating in the demo. Last nights coverage drew 10.06 million total, 2.1 in the demo, with ABC slightly down and NBC slightly up.
Otherwise it was a reasonably quiet night. A new episode of NBCs Americas Got Talent drew 10.75 million viewers from 8-10 p.m., and a 2.2 in the demo, holding fairly steady for the season.
