120 dead dolphins off the Texas coast

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/06/12/texas-dolphins-stranded-dead-noaa_n_1591645.html
<snip>
The deaths of more than 120 dolphins off the Texas coast has prompted a federal agency to declare the event "unusual" and launch an investigation into whether they were related to a drought-related algae bloom or a more widespread mortality event that has plagued the northern Gulf of Mexico for two years.

The U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has called the stranding of 123 dolphins on Texas shores from November through March an "unusual mortality event," an official federal listing that allows the agency to access additional funds and set up a team of researchers.

All but four of the dolphins that washed up in Texas were dead, and the few that turned up alive died a short time later, said Blair Mase, the southeast marine mammal stranding network coordinator for NOAA Fisheries. What alarmed scientists though, was the age of the bottle-nosed dolphins that washed up – juveniles rather than the very young or elderly that normally would be found – and the fact that Texas had a years-worth of dead dolphins turn up in a five-month period.

Some of the dolphins also were found with discolored teeth and lung infections, prompting researchers to investigate whether they were affected by the same disease found in more than 700 strandings in the northern Gulf, an area stretching from the Texas-Louisiana line east to the Florida Panhandle. Researchers suspect the lung disease may be connected to the millions of gallons of oil that fouled the Gulf in April 2010 after a well blowout on a BP-operated rig, but have yet to make a final determination, Mase said.

I could just spit.
BP destroyed what was left of a productive eco-system, essentially got away scot free ( did not even pay out the full damages amount it promised it would pay)
and now people are wondering why dolphins and fish and shrimp are all dying along the Gulf Coast????????

I now believe in hell.
I watched BP create one.

Punishable by death.

If corporations are people let's start making examples of these fuckers and not letting them get away with their crimes.

and labeling as if it came from another location. You can not convince me that the toxins have all dissipated. I am sure
that the dolphins, turtles, and other sea life that are dying in large numbers or getting strange diseases are directly correlated to
the poisons.

And I know that they don't give a flying fugg. What pisses me off is the cooperation that they get from the scientific community and the media. I know there are some who will stand up for the truth, but far too many will make those ones out to be kooks or disgruntled.

I noticed this when there was a big dolphin die off on the east coast of the U.S. Pierre Beland a researcher who has worked for years with the belugas in the St. Lawrence Seaway was furious because the cause was determined to be "parasites". He said they should be checked for chemicals that would cause a comprimised immune system, but no toxilogical tests were done and he couldn't get access to samples.
So the result will be parasites, or some other "natural" cause that the right can use to say it is just a "natural flucuation".

It's appalling that the govt has been buying that trash and trying to sell it for food.
